DIY Football Placemats
These easy DIY Football Placemats are fun and easy for kids to make, and they’re perfect for parties. They take few materials and cost just pennies. Use them to display your party food and apps in front of the TV during the big game.
You will need:
- Felt fabric (green and orange)
- Cardboard (to create football shaped cutouts)
- Fabric glue stick
- White fabric paint
The cutouts are 3 inches and 1.5 inches, respectively. I will use the toothpicks and little cutouts as food picks. This is optional but will make picking up snacks super easy.
Ready to start crafting?
Start by tracing the cutouts on the orange felt. Cardboard makes it easier to get the right shape. I use 4 big ones on each mat, but you can certainly make a few more.
Next, cut out the shapes:
Then, we use the craft glue stick to adhere the cutouts on the corners of the green felt mat.
Now comes the fun part: the fabric paint! Make the lines into the shape of a football.
To make the food toothpicks, simply dab craft glue on the top of the toothpick and stick on a small football cutout.
Let the paint dry for at least 4 hours.
